The account can never be reopened
The old key cannot reactivate the account. No administrator can do it for you.
You lose active control
After closure you have no more access to the account than an external observer.
The history remains
The ledger records remain. Your personal access and dashboard disappear.
A new account requires a new application
A person may later apply for a new account. That requires a valid membership, a new application, new identity verification, a new digital credential, a new key, a new VPLedger account and a new DLT address. The old account is never reopened — new participation requires a new account.
